Overview
Mick Daley’s a singer songwriter delving into deep Australiana, with thirty years experience touring Australia, Europe and Canada solo or with his band The Re-Mains. He’s released ten albums and played thousands of shows, mining the same traditions as Bob Dylan and Paul Kelly with stories of flood towns, failed bushrangers, opal miners indigenous warriors and happy apiarists. Political, poignant, wry and gut-wrenching, he’s an antidote to skin-deep ditties infesting the populist world. Recent Irish tours have unearthed Celtic leviathans who infest his music with an abiding love for an imaginary world that’s just out of reach. Nothing is safe, everything is a song. Mick’s joined by Liam Dixon on banjo and guitar in a new duo called The Golden Shadow.
