Taking influences from Celtic to African rhythms, bluegrass to gypsy jazz, world music to Swing….the Shruti Brothers cover multiple genres in a fun, entertaining style and lively performance.
They take their name from the ‘Shruti Box’, a harmonium-type instrument originating from the Indian subcontinent and it is just one of the multiple instruments, traditional and alternative that the band feature in their performances.
The Shruti Brothers are
· Peter Jacob: vocals, assorted percussion instruments, 12 string guitar
· Hugh Moran: vocals, keyboards, Shruti Box, autoharp
· Pete Helson: vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukelele
