Overview

Olive Mae is a country/folk singer songwriter from a small town in the southwest of WA. Her musical journey started when she brought a tiny violin home from school when she was 5 years old, and she has been playing music ever since. She taught herself guitar at age 18 after being inspired by artists such as Frente, Paul Kelly, The Waifs and Missy Higgins and she started writing her own songs almost immediately. Soon after, she was performing regularly at local festivals and events in her hometown.

After taking a break from music to raise her 2 sons, she has recently come back to music with more enthusiasm than ever. She released her first 2 singles in 2022, both of which were top 20 finalists in 2 categories in the 2023 WAM Song of The Year. She has just released her third single “Girls Like You” which has been nominated in 2 categories (Outstanding Regional & Country) in the upcoming 2023 WAM Song of the Year awards. Olive is looking forward to releasing her debut EP in 2023 in conjunction with a 6-month tour of the east coast with her family.
