To maximise attendance at this year's festival, entrance will once again be free. Funds raised from grants, sponsors and crowdfunding will again enable us to not only pay for the festival infrastructure (insurance, promotion, staging etc.) but also pay for a limited number of performance slots on our four stages. During the remaining times we offer opportunities for artists to perform on the same stages and receive funds directly via our Busking Buckets.
The Program Manager will categorise and appraise each application. It is expected that applicants will be notified by email of the result of their application by the end of August.
We receive many more applications than we are able to include in the final selection each year. Successful inclusion in the program is broadly based on the primary performance spot offered by the Program Manager.
All successful applicants (including those performing on the busking stages) will be accredited in the program and on the web site.
The Festival is expected to run from Friday 7pm till 9.30pm Sunday night, and selected acts are, as a rule, expected to be available for the entire Festival.
As with most Festivals, it is not possible to do an extensive sound check. Line checks will take place and then our experienced sound crews will do the rest.
We ask you to use your photos and music to promote yourself and the festival.
Our funding model guarantees a payment of $100-$200 for singles and duos and up to $400 per band for the paid performances.
We ask that you keep up to date with changes to information provided. As we are a relatively new festival there are kinks that may need straightening out.
