Gar Mac Leman lived in Ireland and gigged throughout Europe and Asia for 18 years. Now, back in Australia, playing mostly solo, he sings original material featuring a guitar uniquely finger-picked and strummed, along with a distinctively haunting, gravelly voice. His originals are a blend of folk and rock, utilising a variety of guitar tunings, a diversity of rhythms and the subtle use of folk harps at opportune moments. Here is an artist whose refreshingly original songs defy pigeonholing, and whose unique songwriting skills recreate poignant moments in time and space.
